Welcome to our County Fair

Welcome to Oregon Fairs!

Oregon fairs have been an important expression of our culture and heritage even before statehood in the mid-1800s. Each year we gather together in our communities to showcase our unique talents and share our common heritage. Oregon fairs bridge generations, ethnic backgrounds and geographic boundaries. A fair is both a place and a time. It is both an experience and an emotion.

No other event in our communities offers what an Oregon fair can. That is because YOU are the core program. It is the showcasing of your achievements that remains the backbone of an Oregon fair. It exists for you because of you.

Oregon fairs enhance our lives. We have the opportunity to reconnect with family and friends in the midst of our hectic schedules. An Oregon fair provides an oasis of experiences to share, a respite from the normality of our days and an opportunity to create memories that can last a lifetime.

There is truly something for everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, the native and the recent resident and the welcome visitor. Witness the achievements of Oregon's outstanding youth as they show their animals, display their craft, and provide presentations and demonstrations. Learn from industry experts on everything from photography to gardening. Share your mutual enthusiasm for a hobby or craft with a fellow Oregonian. And, while browsing the exhibits you may find a family member or neighbor proudly displaying a blue ribbon entry. If you have the stomach for it, there are thrills and screams in the carnival. But everyone has a favorite fair-food and there is a mouth-watering treat to meet the needs of every palette.

So visit YOUR Oregon fair this year. Better yet, participate in the fair. It could be a talent or skill you find rewarding or maybe it's a group activity the whole family can get involved in. Pick up a handbook and check out what your Oregon fair has to offer.

Experience the BEST OF OREGON this summer at an Oregon fair.
